Opened in September 2024, the center honors Donald Gfell, a respected community leader and dedicated museum board member, whose passion for education and admiration for Edison inspired its creation.

About Don Gfell

Donald Gfell (1942-2023), a long-time resident of Milan and a 1960 graduate of Milan High School, embodied a deep commitment to education. After earning his Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Bowling Green State University, Don dedicated his life to fostering learning and inspiring others. His passion for Thomas Edison and his belief in the power of education were the driving forces behind the Don Gfell Education Center.
