About the event
There's something about candlelight that changes the way you see a place.
Each December, the Edison Birthplace Museum invites a small number of guests to experience the historic home the way it was meant to be seen — quietly, slowly, and up close. You'll carry your own battery-lit candle through the rooms where Thomas Edison spent his earliest years, while our guides share the family stories and local history that rarely make it into the history books.
No crowds. No rush. Just the warm glow of light, a house full of history, and a few evenings set aside to remember what the season is really about.
Now in its third year, the Candlelight Tour has become one of our most beloved traditions. It sells out every time. If you've been meaning to come, this is the year to make it happen.
